The football match played in the football stadium in the Asian part of Istanbul, in Turkey was second the duel between home team Fenerbahce and Viktoria Plzen. The stadium was empty, because Fenerbace´s fans caused trouble
The beginning was as expected, both teams were cautious, but a few opportunities were seen. Viktorian´s players mainly went ahead, but Fenerbahce was prepared. The home bunch was careful in defence and which isn´t common in turkish game. Fenerbahce didn´t only defend, because they had some chances, too. They used lost balls for fast suprise.
Before the end of the first half, away team got a next nail in their coffin. The captain of Viktoria Plzen Pavel Horvath made probably the hugest failure in his Plzen´s career. He unfortunately left a ball in the penalty area and Salih Ucan scored easily.
During the second half Plzen increased the pressure and was really active. It was necessary, because they needed to score twice. Plzen had a little bit of bad luck, Fenerbahce had a ball more times. Vladimir Darida tried to shoot behind the penalty area and scored! Plzen was near to advancing to the quaterfinal.
Time for Plzen is running out. The guests often shot and made a new opportunities every time. The referee whistled a little bit more for the home group, than was fair. But Plzen could still have been the winners, without the referee decisions. Left defender David Limbersky hit a construction of target. If they had a little more luck, just a few centimeters and it would have been a goal! When Plzen was more and more offensive, Fenerbahce could get the decimating goal, but Plzen´s goalkeeper was fantastic.
Matus Kozacik wasn´t just a magic guard of goal. So, he could be the hero of way to next the round. He went ahead and waited for the center of the corner, like his teammates. But his shot wasn´t quality and Fenerbahce got to the quarterfinal.
